No Favouritism
Do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.
James 2:1
Sometimes we need to be reminded that each human is important in God’s eyes. Society shines bright lights on the rich and famous. Yet fame does not make a person any more important than your next-door neighbour, the noisy children who play in your street, the down-on-his-luck man at the city mission, or you.
Every person on earth is created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), whether rich or poor (Proverbs 22:2). No one is favoured more than another in His eyes (Romans 2:11), and each is in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:23).
We glorify our great God when we refuse to show favouritism—whether in the church (James 2:1–4) or in society at large. .
If you have never done so before, I encourage you to receive that hope and accept the Lord Jesus as your Saviour today!
