Loving the unloved
The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost .
Luke 19:10
Zacchaeus was a man easy to dislike. As a tax collector for an oppressive occupying government, he made himself rich by overcharging his countrymen. Yet, to the dismay of the crowd, Jesus honoured him by going to his house and eating with him.
The Lord Jesus, saw Zacchaeus as a sinner with an empty hole that only He could fill, and through the Lord's kindness Zacchaeus was transformed that day, and the Bible tells us in Luke 19:10; “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; (v 9) for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (10)
Notice, The Bible says v 10, “ for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” The Lord Jesus came to seek, look, to find lost people.” Lost people are those people who have not yet put their trust in God. Zacchaeus was one of those that Jesus came to save.
I wonder today, where do you stand with the Lord Jesus?
Have you put your trust in Him, or are you one that the Lord is seeking?
