No, Not One

For there is not a just man on earth

who does good and does not sin."

Ecclesiastes 7:20

Today's Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 7:20 & Romans 6:23.

Ecclesiastes 7:20, reminds us that as human beings, we are all prone to sin and make mistakes. No matter how hard we try to be good, we will still fall short.  We might do many good things, many kind things, but we are still, each of us, a sinner; That is what this verse is saying.

However, this verse should not be seen as an excuse to give up on striving for righteousness. Rather, it should serve as a reminder of our need for humility and our dependence on God's grace. We must acknowledge our sins, faults and shortcomings, and constantly seek to improve ourselves through repentance and seeking forgiveness.

Furthermore, this verse also highlights the importance of extending grace and forgiveness to others. Just as we are not perfect, neither are those around us. We should strive to be understanding and patient with others, just as we hope others will be with us.

Prayer: Dear God, Please help me to approach life with humility and a desire to continuously serve You. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
