What's In Your Heart ?

Search me, O God, and know my heart
Psalm 139:23
Today's Bible Reading: Psalms 139:23-24.
It's more than a plea for direction; it's an invitation for divine inspection. To ask God to search us is to welcome His light into every corner of our soul — even the places we’ve tried to keep hidden.
This kind of surrender is not comfortable, but it is necessary. The psalmist isn’t simply asking God to point the way — he’s asking God to cleanse the way within. What if, in the quiet moments, God exposed our pride, our bitterness, our secret fears, or misplaced desires? Would we yield, or would we retreat?
True intimacy with God begins not with perfection, but with honesty. When we stop performing and start surrendering, God begins the deep work of transforming us. And in that place of openness, He does not meet us with condemnation — but with grace, guidance, and the promise to lead us on the everlasting path.
Prayer: O Lord my God, search my heart, cleanse what grieves You, and lead me in Your everlasting way. In Jesus' name. Amen.
