Comfort For Troubled Times

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
There are so many distressing things occupying the news headlines these days, and sometimes it can be very hard to understand man's inhumanity to man, not to mention cruelty to animals and the destruction of the environment. When will the madness end?
The people who lived in Bible times were no strangers to inhumanity, barbarity, or man's brutality. But many people were also well acquainted with the character of God—a loving, protecting Father quick to console His people. He comforted them then and comforts us now, today, if we will allow Him too.
Take a few moments to soak up these 5 passages of Scripture and let them sustain you today, and in the days ahead.
