Doing Christmas
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14
How do you normally ‘do’ Christmas? Do you write lists, organise your schedule and buy all the food and presents well ahead of time? Or do you dive into the last-minute scrap in the busy supermarkets and shopping centres on Christmas Eve?
However you 'do' Christmas, remember the Christ in Christmas.
The first Christmas was not a last minute scrabble, it was planned for, arranged and organised long in advance. The events leading up to the birth of Christ were not coincidental, but were put in place by God, so that the prophecies of old would be fulfilled (Isaiah 7: 13-14; Isaiah 9: 6-7; Micah 5: 2-5).
This Christmas, bear in mind all the planing, arranging and organising that God, in advance put into the 'True' Christmas.

Prayer
Lord God, This Christmas time, in all the business, may I not loose sight of the fact that Christmas is primarily about the birth of a Child, Who is You Son, and my Saviour. In His precious name I pray. Amen.
