God Is Long-suffering

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me,

and the one who comes to Me, I will by no means cast out.

John 6:37

God is far more patient with us than we deserve, and certainly far more patient with us than we are with each other. The Bible says, “He is long-suffering with us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). The Lord Jesus made it clear that coming to Him for salvation begins with the work of the Father, and He will receive all who come to Him (John 6:37). The only person God cannot forgive is the person who refuses His forgiveness.

Why turn away from Him? No matter who you are or what you have done, Christ stands ready to forgive you and save you. Open your heart to Him today, because “the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost” (Luke 19:10).

Prayer

Lord God, I am so very grateful, that You are long-suffering with me. Help me to show your patients and love to others. In the Redeemer's name I pray. Amen.
