Predestination


“Moreover whom He predestined,

these He also called . . ."

 

Romans 8:30



Today's Bible Reading:  Romans 8:28-38.


Today's reading, addresses the interaction between predestination and God's unwavering love for His chosen people. This section of Scripture provides insight into the inseparable relationship between God's predetermined plan and the assurance of His love and ultimate salvation for believers.


Verse 28: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." This verse sets the stage for the subsequent discussion by emphasizing that everything in the lives of believers, both the joys and the challenges, serves a purpose in God's overarching plan.


Verse 29: God foreknew and predestined believers to be conformed to the image of Christ.

Verse 30: Predestination leads to calling, justification, and eventual glorification.

Verse 31: If God is for us, no opposition can prevail against us.

Verse 35: Nothing can separate believers from the love of Christ, including tribulation, distress, persecution, or any other challenges.
