Daily Praise
(Miniseries on praise – Day 1)

You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory.
Revelation 4:11
Today's Bible Reading: Psalm 113.
To praise God is a biblical practise. From the earliest times, it has been the custom of Jewish people to start and end each day in praise of God. Since it is a biblical practise, it is therefore, also the Christian practise.
Praising the Lord is not a religious activity that belongs only to an activity in church on Sundays. In Psalm 113:3, the Bible says: “From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised.” That means, let your first words in the morning and your last words at night, be praise to God. Now, you might ask, “Why should I praise God every day?” Because He is worthy of your praise. “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power” (Rev 4:11) And one more thought. Spoken words of love and appreciation to God, draw people together and create intimacy. Do you want to get closer to God? Start praising Him more.
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;Praise Him, all creatures here below;Praise Him above, you heavenly host;Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Amen!"
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to You this day to give You all the praise and honour that is due unto You alone. In Jesus' name. Amen.
