Not Mad-Saved !
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 1:1
Today's Bible Reading: Hebrews 1:1-14.
If you have believed the Gospel and trusted on the Lord Jesus for your salvation, you are saved! If you tell people about the time when you met the Lord Jesus Christ, some might think you are mad. However, you are not mad, you are saved.
When the world hears the testimony of the redeemed people of God, they might think we have gone mad! After all, we talk about things that cannot be seen or handled (Hebrews 1:1).
. We talk about a baby born of a virgin.
. A Saviour Who was crucified, buried and rose again.
We talk about His blood, and how it washed our sins away.
We believe in a God Who we say created the universe and all that is in it.
We say that we have a home in a place called Heaven.
We believe that Jesus is coming again.
We believe some things that sound like madness to a lost world.
But, to those who have been lost in the depths of sin and have made the trip to Calvary by faith and have met the risen Saviour, it all makes perfect sense.
When we speak of such things, we do so because We are not mad, we are saved!
We simply believe the Bible and take God at His Word. It may sound madness to the lost, but we have no doubt that it is all true. That does not make us mad; it simply proves that we are saved!
Prayer
Almighty Father, Thank You, that I have not been saved by perishable things such as silver or gold, but by the work of Your Son Jesus Christ, and His work on the cross. Help me to live the Christian life and share my faith with others. In the Saviour's name, I prayer. Amen
