One Shepherd, One Door
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6
The Lord Jesus said, that He is the only door, that He is the door to the Father’s house. Jesus is the only door to Eternal Life. There is no other door and no other path that can lead us to Eternal Life. Everyone else will take us in a completely different direction.
But it seems that the most popular idea in today’s age is that no matter which door we go through, in the end it will take us to God. The Word of God says it’s wrong to think so. Jesus says this clearly in the Gospel of John: “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.” (John 10: 9). Also, Jesus says, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14: 6)
You see, this is a very crucial issue. Have you entered through this door? As you walk through this door, you accept this sacrifice of Jesus. You accept that He needs you to be saved. John 10:9 says, “He shall enter in and through these doors, and shall find pasture.”
You may be trying to think of Eternal Life, you may be looking for a door today that will take you there, so you know – you can only get there through a door called Jesus. If you enter through them, you meet Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
These are just a few of the many scriptures that talk about the importance of faith, the importance of following, the importance of acknowledging the authority of the Good Shepherd.
Also concluding, the Gospel of John writes, “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you might have life in His name.” (John 20:31)
May God help each of us to say with confidence, "My Lord and my God" (John 20:28).
