A Life Aflame For Christ

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and he who wins souls is wise.
Proverbs 11:30
Today's Bible Reading: Matthew 28:1-6.
Dwight Lyman Moody was not a polished preacher, nor a trained theologian. Born in Massachusetts, America in 1837, Moody began as a humble shoe salesman. Yet when Christ captured his heart, that same passion turned from selling shoes to saving souls. Through his simple yet Spirit-filled preaching, countless lives were transformed across America and many other lands. His message was clear and powerful—Christ saves sinners, and all who know Him must make Him known.
Moody’s zeal for evangelism birthed great works: the Moody Bible Institute, mission schools, and evangelistic campaigns that shook cities with the power of the Gospel. He once said, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to Him.” Moody determined to be that man—and God used him mightily.
But what about you? Do you know Moody’s Saviour—the Lord Jesus Christ, who still changes lives today? If you do, are you carrying on that same Gospel work, letting your light shine in a dark world? The same Spirit that empowered Moody is alive in every believer who will surrender wholly to God’s call.
Let us rise with renewed purpose—to live, speak, and serve so that others may know the Saviour we love. Souls are waiting, and eternity is near. Will you, like Moody, be that person through whom God can show His power??
Prayer: Lord, set my heart aflame as You did for Dwight Moody. Make me bold to share Your Gospel and live fully for Your glory. In Your mighty name, I ask. Amen.
