Surrender

Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good
and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
Today's Bible Reading: Luke 9:23-27.
A police sergeant once asked the secret to living a victorious Christian life. While there’s no magic formula, the answer is “surrender.” Surrender means giving up control and allowing God to guide us. To follow Christ faithfully, we must set aside our desires, seek God’s will, and live according to His commandments, praising Him along the way. Surrender happens when we accept Christ’s mercy, love, and forgiveness.
How is this done? By handing God control of our mind, heart, and will. Instead of acting on our own desires, we listen to God, study His Word, and seek His direction in every decision.
It’s not enough to tell Jesus once that we love Him and want to obey. Following Him is a lifetime journey. Growth is essential, and Jesus said that if we desire to follow Him, we must seek His will daily (Luke 9:23). Daily surrender leads to daily victory.
Opening our minds to God’s Word allows the Holy Spirit to work in us, filling us with His presence every step of the way.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I surrender my life to You this day, In Jesus precious name. Amen.
