Divine Descent

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

that though He was rich, yet for your sakes

He became poor, that you through

His poverty might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8:9

Today's Bible Reading:  Philippians 2:5–11.

There was a moment — hidden before time began — when the Creator looked upon all He had made and did not stay distant.

He descended, not in thunder or flame, but clothed Himself in the dust of His own design. The hands that shaped the stars took the form of hands that could be pierced. The voice that spoke galaxies into being cried out among the silence of men.

He did not come to rule by power, but to reveal by His presence. To walk among us was to show that no corner of creation was too low for divine love to dwell. He entered time so that eternity might enter us.

Prayer: Immanuel, dwell with me today as You once dwelt among us. In Your name, I ask. Amen.
