Christ The Conqueror

I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You..'
Psalm 2:7
Today's Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 18:18-19.
Advent means “arrival”—the celebration of our Saviour coming to Earth. From the very start, God promised Jesus, the Messiah. After the fall, God declared: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (In Genesis 3:15).
This is the first Good News—the promise of victory over evil. The struggle between Satan and humanity is real. Satan strikes Christ’s heel, but Jesus crushes Satan’s head—victory is His!
Though Satan tried to destroy Christ during His life, even at the cross, he thought he won. But Jesus rose! He conquered death, defeating the enemy and giving us life.
Whether you are anxious or joyful this Christmas, remember: Christ reigns victorious. Don’t let Satan steal your joy. Christmas is the celebration of the Son of God born to die for you—and conquer for you. What a gift!
Prayer: Father, open my eyes to Your daily gifts and my lips to share them. Help me celebrate Jesus’ miraculous birth and proclaim the Good News of salvation through His sacrifice. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
