Changing Lives

"You shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God

has given to you and your house,

you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you."

Deuteronomy 26:11

Today's Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 26:4-11.

Often the Church has banged away negatively at evils without reminding us that God is tremendously interested in each of us finding a satisfying way of life here and now. We Christians have talked so much of the negative side of the Christian experience that we have forgotten to emphasise the positive, joyous, thrilling, and victorious experience of daily fellowship with Christ. God declared that the things of this world will not satisfy. God satisfies! This is the secret of soul-satisfaction: Let your soul delight itself in fatness. Remove the obstructions, tear down the barriers, and let your soul find the fulfilment of its deepest longings in fellowship with God.

In Deuteronomy 26:11, the Bible Bible says: Rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God has given to you: When we receive from the LORD, and give back to Him, it makes us rejoice. It is the proper response of a creature to his Creator, who has supplied him with all good things. Are you “Rejoicing in every good thing which the LORD your God has given to you.” ?

Prayer: Father of lights, from Whom all good gifts come dawn. There are no words to describe my gratitude to You, my Lord, my God, my Saviour and provider, for Your loving kindness, goodness and blessing that You have showed upon me. Accept my praise and love, I asked in Jesus name. Amen.
